Dev (mythology)

As Dev or Dew (plural Devs, Dews ) spirits are referred to in Armenian mythology , which appear as animals or hybrid beings from several animals. Dev goes back to Avestian Daeva via Neupersian diw and Middle Persian dew . Devs live in ruins of towns and villages. Mages are able to drive Devs into or out of people's bodies.
