Devolution
Devolution (Latin: devolvere , `` roll down '' or, in other words, `` roll off '') stands for:
- the transition of a ruler title or a hereditary nobility title to a successor, see Succession to the throne
- the transfer of administrative functions from the sovereign to local authorities, see devolution (constitutional law)

- the transfer of proceedings to a higher court by filing an appeal, see devolution effect
