The December Phoenicinids are a meteor shower that can not be observed from Central European latitudes . The December Phoenicinids are active between November 28th and December 9th and have their maximum on December 2nd. The comet P / Blanplain is considered to be the mother body.
This meteor shower has a variable ZHR , which is usually 3 meteors per hour. However, brief bursts of activity of up to 100 meteors per hour have been observed in a few years.
