Dharmakirti

Dharmakirti (skt. Dharmakirti; Tib. Chos-kyi grags-pa) was a Buddhist philosopher and logician who lived in India in the 7th century .

The system of logic he wrote in seven treatises comprises four sections:

  1. the perception
  2. the conclusion for itself
  3. the conclusion for others
  4. the logical errors

His investigations into conclusions with negating premises are significant . He developed a concept theory that determines all concepts through negations (apoha).
