Dhirendra Nath Majumdar

Dhirendra Nath Majumdar , also Dhīrendranātha Majūmadāra ( Bengali ধীরেন্দ্রনাথ মজুমদার Dhīrendranāth Majumadār ; born June 3, 1903 in Patna ; † May 31, 1960 in Lucknow ), was an Indian social scientist.

Life

Majumdar was the second son of Kushum Kumari and Rebati Mohan Majumdar, a Zamindar from a village near Dhaka . He studied at the University of Calcutta and Cambridge . On April 1, 1960 he became Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh , India.
