Dhori Kule

Dhori Kule (born February 17, 1957 ) is an Albanian professor of economics . From 2008 to 2016 he was Rector of the University of Tirana .

In 1981 Kule graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in economics. He then worked in Kuçova and also taught economics in Berat . After three years he was accepted as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana, where he is still active today. He gained international experience through study visits to Italy (1992), Poland (1993), USA (1994), England (1995) and Greece (1996). From 1997 to 2007 he was dean of the Faculty of Economics, only interrupted by a study visit to Germany (2000–2002). From January 2008 Dhori Kule was rector of the University of Tirana until he was replaced by Mynyr Koni in 2016.

Dhori Kule is a board member in the network of Balkan universities .

Kule was the co-author of several economics textbooks. His more recent writings deal primarily with the effects of political transition and social change such as emigration on the Albanian economy and other macroeconomic issues.
