Diablo Range
The Diablo Range (German Diablo Mountains / Devil Mountains) is a mountain range in California . It is one of the California coastal mountains along the Pacific coast. It is east of the San Francisco Bay south of the Salinas Valley .
The name "Diablo" is actually the Spanish word for devil, and was also used in this spelling for the English name when the area went to the United States.
In the range of the mountain range are the peaks of Mount Diablo , San Benito Mountain , Mount Hamilton and Mount Stakes .
