The Diakonie Hasenbergl eV operates about 50 facilities in the Munich city districts Feldmoching-Hasenbergl , Milbertshofen , Ramersdorf-Perlach , Neuperlach , Allach-Untermenzing and Schwabing-Freimann and employs more than 500 employees, including about 160 volunteers.

Mission statement

Its aim is to increase educational opportunities for children, young people and adults and to support them in their reintegration into working life. In accordance with the Bavarian Social Charter, it tries to advocate a solidary society that puts social quality at the center of its actions. The target group is all people, regardless of person, origin or religion. The areas of children, youth and family, the world of work and youth welfare as well as social psychiatry, senior citizens and neighborhood work are covered.

history

The association was founded in 1964 by Pastor Otto Steiner as a social counseling service for the Evangelical Church Community in Munich-Hasenbergl eV and has developed from the mostly voluntary counseling work of Protestant Christians into a non-profit, charitable company that is active far beyond the Hasenbergl district .

Diakonie Hasenbergl has set up an energy and environmental management system (EMAS) as part of its quality management system and has received the EMAS seal of approval for this. All areas, facilities and processes were considered through the »environmental protection glasses«.
