Diamond Throne Pagoda of Zhenjue Si
The Diamond Throne Pagoda of Zhenjue Si ( Chinese 真 觉 寺 金刚 宝座 塔 , Pinyin Zhēnjué Sì Jīngāng Bǎozuò Tǎ ) or Pagoda of the Five Pagoda Temple ( 五塔寺 塔 , Wǔtǎ Sì Tǎ ) is a pagoda of the Diamond Throne or Vajrasana pagodas type in the Beijing municipality Haidian east of the White stone bridge on the north bank of the river Chang Hey . Construction of the temple began in the Yongle era; the pagoda dates from 1473 of the Chenghua era. The temple is no longer preserved today.
The middle pagoda has thirteen stories; it is over eight meters high; the four pagodas outside have eleven storeys; they are over seven meters high.
The Diamond Throne Pagoda of Zhenjue Si has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (1-75) since 1961 .
