Dianbai ( Chinese 电白区 , Pinyin Diànbái Qū ) is a municipality in the prefecture -level city of Maoming in the Chinese province of Guangdong . Dianbai has an area of 2,275 km² and has around 1.71 million inhabitants (end of 2004).

The Dianbai district was created in February 2014 by merging the areas of the former Dianbai district and the former Maogang district .
