Diarmuid Wilson (born November 20, 1965 ) is an Irish politician of the Fianna Fáil and has been a member of the Seanad Éireann , the upper house of the Irish Parliament , since 2002 .

Wilson attended St. Patrick's College in Maynooth and studied at Brunel University in London . In 1999 he was elected to Cavan County Council , which he served until 2004.

Wilson was elected to the 22nd Seanad Éireann in 2002 for the Fianna Fáil. In the next elections in 2007 he was able to defend his mandate and was re-elected to the 23rd Seanad Éireann.

Diarmuid Wilson is the nephew of Irish politician and cabinet member John P. Wilson .
