Dichagyris celebrata is a butterfly ( moth ) fromthe owl butterfly family (Noctuidae).
features
butterfly
The wingspan of the moth is 47 to 55 millimeters. The basic color of the forewings is light brown. The fringing area is sometimes darker in color. Inner and outer transverse lines stand out in black, but are mostly interrupted. Flaws are not recognizable. The hind wings are whitish to light gray in color.

Similar species
Dichagyris tyrannus is smaller (wingspan 38 to 42 millimeters) and shows dark blemishes.
distribution and habitat
Dichagyris celebrata occurs in Turkey , Russia , Turkmenistan , Afghanistan and Iran . The species prefers to colonize open, steppe-like terrain.
Way of life
The nocturnal moths fly in June and July. You visit artificial light sources . Further details on the species' way of life have yet to be determined.
