Basic Eudesman structure

Dictyophorins are chemical compounds from the sesquiterpene group that were first isolated from the phallus indusiatus fungus (synonym Dictyophora indusiata ). Dictyophorins have a basic Eudesman structure and they are the first Eudesman derivatives to be found in mushrooms. So far, two dictyophorins have been described, A and B. Both induce gene expression of the growth factor NGF in astroglia .
