The Böslinge are an Austrian punk band from Vienna .
The group was founded in 1979 by Erwin Bösling, Harry the Herbert and Peter R. After the EP Scheiss Kibarei was released in 1981, the band was disbanded until they reunited in 2000 and re-recorded the old songs from 1981. Further albums and concerts in Austria and Germany followed.
The Böslinge sing their lyrics in the Viennese dialect and play punk influenced by The Exploited , The Clash , Sex Pistols and Motörhead . Many of her texts deal with political or socially critical topics underpinned by a simple message, crude sayings and brute music.
