The Brother's Hand (newspaper)

The brother hand was an anti-fascist newspaper by functionaries of the Red Aid , which was printed and distributed in Berlin-Friedrichshain after the arrest of the editors of the newspapers Die Rote Fahne and The Resistance .

The brother hand was created in a single issue from January 19, 1936 in an edition of 560 copies. It was produced by the KPD members Fritz Hödel and Max Sellheim at the suggestion of Emil Burchardt and Ernst Desert . Lore Fugger, Max Uecker, Paul Balke, Kurt Lamprecht and Alfred Breiter as well as other resistors were also involved in the production. Shortly after the release, many members of the group were arrested, including Hödel and Sellheim. Max Sellheim was shot dead near Sachsenhausen on May 3, 1945 .
