The art of clothes

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Die Kunst der Klamotte is a documentary television play from 1965 which is about the serious presentation of the forms and the development of slapstick from the era of the silent film to the (then current) modern age. A serious professor (played by Alexander Welbat ) moderates and demonstrates the individual topics in a humorous and dry manner in front of a stylized floral backdrop in the style of science programs of the time (Prof. Haber and the like) and also documents them using various film clips (e.g. Keystone Cops or Manche like it hot , etc.). He is actively supported by his assistant (played by Jürgen Feindt ), who demonstrates various jokes in silence (as in most of his films) and in changing butler costumes.

Incidentally, the television play Die Kunst der Klamotte has nothing to do with the satirical television program of the same name by Axel von Ambesser from the late 1950s. A curiosity on the side: The art of clothes had to be postponed several times due to current events in the program, which is why the first broadcast could only take place after several years.
