The people who never stop ( Japanese 動 じ な い , Dōjinai ) is a computer-animated short film by Florian Piento from 2012.

action

Arranged according to directions, an unstoppable flow of people seems to flow down a Japanese pedestrian zone. Social fringe figures and exceptional situations have their own place in the order. Even an earthquake and a tidal wave only manage to briefly interrupt the action and the latter to establish a brief emotional relationship between the passers-by, then normality sets in again. Until a cherry blossom falls to the ground and the sakura begins. Suddenly everyone stops and is united in the hanami .

production

With a few exceptions, there is no speaking in the film, instead one usually hears noises such as the clatter of feet on the pavement or the twittering of birds accompanied by lovely guitar music at the beginning. With the sakura, the game of a shamisen begins .

The animations were also done by Piento.
