The lollipops
The Lollipops are a two-piece German girl band with changing line-ups.
overview
It was founded and produced in 2000 by Peter Hoffmann , Yann Peifer and Jürgen Reitershan; from 2002 Peter Hoffmann continued on his own. The concept of the band is to re-record well-known chart hits and classics of German songs as party songs and to add funny lyrics tailored to the target group of very young record buyers. Between 2006 and 2007 four novels by the children's book author Karin Müller were published under the title “Lollipops”, which tell the stories of two girls on their way to becoming a pop star.
Since it was founded, the band has sold more than 1.5 million audio and video recordings and has so far been awarded eight gold records in Germany.
The Lollipops performed in 2010 for the 100th anniversary of FC St. Pauli in the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg.
Previous lollipops were: Gina, Nathalie , Janet, Ronja , Joanna and Johanna. From March 2005 Maria and Maike were the singers. These were replaced by Fiona and Susi, who formed the duo from 2008 to 2010. Afterwards a creative break for the band was announced. (As of: August 2015)
