The Nights of Flores ( Spanish original title: Las noches de Flores ) is the title of a novel by the Argentine author César Aira . The original was published in 2004, the German translation by Klaus Laabs in 2009 by Claassen-Verlag .

The novel is set in Buenos Aires during the Argentina crisis . At the end of the book, Aira gave the date of writing as May 8, 2003.

The first half of the novel is about the old couple Aldo and Rosa Peyró. The two deliver pizza on foot in the Flores district . In the background the kidnapping and finally the murder of young Jonathan smolder, causing a stir nationwide. In the second half, the focus of the story changes abruptly, new characters are added and Aldo and Rosa appear in a completely new light.
