Estetik Yayıncılık
Estetik Yayıncılık is a media publisher based in Ankara . Among other things, he publishes the daily newspaper Sözcü (spokesman ) . The full name of the publisher is Estetik Yayıncılık Havacılık ve Hava Taşımacılığı Ticaret Ltd.
In 2007, a group around the then 36-year-old entrepreneur Burak Akbay bought the naming rights to the newspaper Gözcü (Guardian) . This had appeared in the Doğan media group since 1996 , but was discontinued on April 1, 2007. In terms of content, Sözcü tied in with the previous paper and, with its nationalist , Kemalist and secular lines, its decidedly oppositional stance to the ruling Justice and Recovery Party (AKP) and its tabloid style, developed into one of the best-selling newspapers in Turkey within a few years .
In addition to Sözcü , the publisher is currently (as of January 2017) the daily newspaper Korkusuz (Furchtlos) and the sports daily AMK . Since 2013, the television broadcaster Halk TV, founded in 2005 by the then CHP chairman Deniz Baykal , has also been part of Estetik Yayıncılık.
In Germany, the company appeared as a bidder for the insolvent Frankfurter Rundschau at the beginning of 2013 , but was not awarded a contract.
