The book The Physics of the Impossible is a popular scientific work by the American physicist Michio Kaku .

The book deals with, among other things, the physical examination of in science fiction occurring -Werken technology , such as the Tarnumhangs Harry Potters or artificial intelligence . A total of 15 techniques are presented, some of which, according to the author, have a chance of being implemented over the next 100 years. These include camouflage cloaks, anti-matter propulsion, warp propulsion , teleportation , telepathy , energy weapons and lightsabers .

In the book, these technologies are divided into three levels of difficulty. Level two includes making contact with parallel universes , level three deals with problems that, in his opinion, cannot be solved, such as the construction of a perpetual motion machine .
