From 1977 Gillon published the series single-handedly in the comic magazine Métal hurlant . In the Topix series of top-class comics published by Bastei Verlag , the first five albums were partially shortened and published in Germany from 1977 onwards. The first two issues were only printed in two colors and some drawings were de-eroticized, ie female nudity "defused" by painting over them.

Between 1988 and 1991 Carlsen Verlag published the series in full, unabridged and in four colors in German. Between 2015 and 2017 the albums were published again, now as a hardcover edition, by Splitter .
