The Chocolate Witch ( Japanese シ ョ コ ラ の 魔法 , Shokora no Mahō for French / Japanese. Chocolat no Mahō , German "Magic of Chocolate") is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Rino Mizuho , which has been published in Japan since 2009. The work was adapted as an OVA series and can be classified in the genre of comedy and mystery .

content

The witch Chocola Aikawa sells chocolate in her shop Chocolat Noir , which makes wishes come true. But for every wish fulfilled, you have to give Aikawa something valuable. She then uses this to create new magic chocolate that gives whoever eats her this ability. She is accompanied by her hangover Kakao, who, as you learn in the second volume, is in truth a demon who gives her the strength for her magical chocolates. They made a pact, because of their past, when Chocola Aikawa makes the "ultimate chocolate", cocoa gets its soul. As long as he accompanies them and there are hints made that they fall in love. Depending on whether the person in the respective chapter is 'good' or 'bad', he takes away the bad from the good and something good from the bad. Ultimately, however, the good are always given what they can do with their own strength. While the chapters were independent of each other at the beginning, from the second volume onwards it begins to become a more coherent story in which one learns more about Chocolas and Kakaos past.
