The People's Police. The magazine for all members of the German People's Police was a monthly magazine in the GDR , which was initially published every two weeks from January 1948 to November 1990, and monthly from the 1970s. The editions were 20 to 40 pages thick. The publisher was the Ministry of the Interior of the GDR , which was responsible for another four publications. These included:

In terms of content, the magazine consisted on the one hand of experience and everyday reports by police officers from different hierarchies and specializations. In addition, new regulations and orders were commented on and explained here. This was supplemented by various kinds of enclosures such as information on the new road traffic regulations, reports from militiamen of the USSR or ČSSR , but also speeches, party decisions or theoretical texts of Marxist-Leninist origin.

The magazine was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in Gold on June 28, 1978 .
