Die Welt am Montag - Independent Newspaper for Politics and Culture ” was a weekly newspaper in Berlin that appeared from Sunday to Monday . It was founded in 1896 by the national liberal Adolf Damaschke and discontinued in March 1933.

Well-known employees were Erich Mühsam and - up to a plagiarism affair - Siegfried Jacobsohn . The newspaper was significantly shaped by Hellmut von Gerlach , who served as editor-in-chief from 1898–1901 and again from 1906 on. In 1919 Hans Leuss became co-editor.
