In 1973, Die Welt des Schalls was a series on WDR television by and with Jean Pütz .

Concept of broadcast

In this series of programs, sound was presented as a physical phenomenon, ranging from physical, physiological and emotional aspects to mathematical and artistic elements of music. There was also a report on the ultrasound with the technical possibilities that were developing at the time, in particular the non-destructive examination of materials up to medical diagnosis. An accompanying book with the following structure was published for the seven-part program:
