The Woody's were a short-lived German hit duo of the 1980s, which gained notoriety in the 2010s through a television appearance published on the Internet.

history

The group consisted of Pascal Marshall, Tony Marshall's son , and his friend Thomas Maier. The lyrical concept of Woody's revolved around the forest man "Fichtl", who was supposed to warn people about the dying forest and was also available as a merchandising figure. An album produced by Tony Marshall called The World of Woody's was released in 1984 on Teldec .

A recording from the show Die Superhitparade der Volksmusik , in which the Woody's presented their single Fichtl's Lied , gained notoriety in the 2010s when it was uploaded to YouTube . In 2017 a new version of Fichtl's Lied was released.
