the dacticians

The four members of the cabaret group (three men and one woman) performing on stage. You are sitting or standing around a table in the staff room, a dark blue curtain forms the stage background. One of them sings to the guitar, another crouches, wearing a T-shirt and vest, on the stage ramp and has a red and white patterned Palestinian scarf casually slung around his neck. The third looks at the audience helplessly dressed in a brown checkered jacket and red tie, clearly recognizable as a rather conservative teacher. A keyboard is in the background, waiting to be used.

die daktiker is the name of what it claims to be " Germany's longest-serving teachers' cabaret ". It was founded in 1984 by the then student trainees Andreas Boxhammer, Hans-Peter Königs and Hermann-Josef Skutnik, initially under the name " August-Bebel-Combo ". In 1986, after their second state examination , they called themselves " the three daktiker ". Brigitte Lämbgen joined in 1995; since then, the group has been called " die daktiker ", which now makes its origins from the pedagogical term didactic ( didactics the "art of teaching") even clearer.

The four group members are actively involved in school service.

Programs

Up to 1998, in addition to the programs specifically related to school operations, nine evenings on general political issues were created. Since then, because of its great success, the “ Städtische Adolphinum ” (a fictional traditional high school ), which was first introduced in 1992, has been the focus of the stage. The daktiker are still active in schools, on cabaret stages and at educational events.
