The three wedding guests

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The three wedding guests is an animal fairy tale . It is in Ludwig Bechstein's German book of fairy tales at position 25 (1845 No. 32).

content

Three dogs want to get away from the feast in the village by going one by one. The first is cut, the second scalded. But nobody admits it. The first says, "... it's hot and you have to be able to take it hard and soft!", The second "... it's hot there and you have to be able to take it cold and warm!" The third wants at least to get crumbly cakes, gets the tail pinched until the skin peels off. He says: "... it went really well and gave a lot of crumbs, but someone has to be able to leave their hair."

origin

Bechstein notes: “Orally.” According to Hans-Jörg Uther , the source cannot be determined. The punch line lies in the ambiguous excuses. See Des Hundes Not , The Crumbs on the Table .
