The whole world needs love was the Austrian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 . The German-language song was sung by Liane Augustin .

In the whole world needs love , concern is that both the world and the singer Love needs to live, "because who's been like to be alone." Also “the world would be cold and cloudy if there was no sunlight. Why should it be different for me ”.

Sung in ninth place, after Margot Hielscher from the Federal Republic of Germany with Für Zwei Groschen Musik and before Lys Assia from Switzerland with Giorgio , the song was just able to place in the first half of the start with eight points and 5th place. Liane Augustin never recorded the track and accordingly did not publish it commercially.
