Dieter Ceranski

Dieter Ceranski (born March 2, 1963 ) was a soccer player in the area of ​​the GDR soccer association . In its highest division, the GDR Oberliga , he played in 1981 for BSG Chemie Buna Schkopau .

Athletic career

From the age of 10, Ceranski initially did athletics as a sprinter at the Aschersleben training center. It wasn't until he was 13 that he turned to football. At the age of 17 he was accepted into the youth team of Hallesches FC Chemie (HFC) for the 1980/81 season , with whom he played in the GDR youth league. When at the end of 1980 the HFC was looking for a new striker for its GDR Oberliga team for Holger Krostitz , who was called up for the army , and found what he was looking for with Frank Kuhnt at BSG Chemie Buna Schkopau, Ceranski had to go to Schkopau in exchange. There he took over the position of Kuhnt on the right attacking side at the Oberliga climbers in the second half of the 1981/82 season. By the end of the season, he played all 13 point games and scored two goals. The BSG Chemie had to relegate to the GDR league again after the 1981/82 season , and Ceranski played there until October 1982. After that, he was drafted into the army and during this time he played football with the Vorwärts Delitzsch army sports community, with whom he was in 1983 rose to the third-rate district league Leipzig . After his discharge from the army, Ceranski joined the GDR league club BSG Chemie Böhlen in 1984 . Short guest appearances at Motor Babelsberg and Motor Ludwigsfelde followed in 1987 . In the summer of 1987 he was with the BSG Chemie Velten champion of the Potsdam district league , but the team then failed in the promotion round to the GDR league.

Ceranski later worked as a football coach for lower-class clubs. Most recently, he coached the Brandenburg regional league club Fortuna Babelsberg from 2000 to June 2005 and then until June 2010 Werderan FC Viktoria. He led this in 2008 in the seventh-class Brandenburg State League.
