Dieter Günther

Dieter Joachim Günther (born May 6, 1943 in Beuthen ) is a German geologist and librarian .

Günther studied geology and paleontology and received his doctorate in 1973 from the University of Tübingen on the volcano of Santorini . He then studied library science in Stuttgart and was a librarian in Munich, Heidelberg and Karlsruhe from 1976 until his retirement in 2006. He lives in Bad Herrenalb .

Günther published a geological guide to the Black Forest .
