Dieter Mammel

Dieter Mammel (* 1965 in Reutlingen ) is a German painter and draftsman .

Life

Mammel studied painting at the academy in Stuttgart from 1986 to 1991 . The " Villa Serpentara Scholarship " from the Academy of Arts , Berlin, took him to Italy in 1991 and 1993. He received studio grants from the Berlin Senate, the Karl Hofer grant, and from 2007 to 2012 the studio grant from the City of Frankfurt am Main .

In addition to solo exhibitions of his pictures, drawings and prints, such as in 1999 in the Kunsthalle Göteborg , 2003 in the Kunstmuseum Bonn , 2005 in the Pinakothek Athens and 2011 in the Osthaus Museum Hagen and Pera-Museum Istanbul, Mammel developed video installations and stage sets for spoken and dance theater.

Dieter Mammel lives in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main .
