Dieter Wirth (born August 22, 1959 in Middle Franconia) is a mixed German writer who writes in High German and in East Franconian dialect, who lives in Niederlindach, a district of Heßdorf , in the Middle Franconian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

Life

Wirth, a trained retail salesman and insurance specialist, worked as a warehouse clerk for many years and is currently working for the Nuremberg blood donation service. At a young age he wrote poems and short stories, later also fairy tales. Inspired by his work "The Thoughts of a Middle Franconia", he started to write regional Franconian thrillers, which are written in High German, but whose dialogue parts are largely written in East Franconian dialect. The protagonists of these Frankish thrillers, which are in part based on true events and always humorous, are the early retired commissioner and private detective Leo Spritzer and his friend, the chief sergeant - later commissioner - Hansi Kurzer. According to his own statement, the convinced Franke Wirth wants to bring readers closer to the readers "the people in Franconia and their behavior as they really are" in a humorous way.
