Kari Kahl-Wolfsjäger (born 1942 ) is a cultural journalist and director of music festivals with classical music.

biography

From Norway derived Kahl-Wolfsjäger studied musicology, German literature, art history and theater studies. She worked as a cultural journalist for Capital magazine for 16 years .

Since it was founded in 1986, she directed the Kissinger Sommer music festival until 2016, initially under the name Steff-Wolfsjäger . In addition, she was the founding director of the Kunstfest Weimar in 1990 and 1991, three times the Beethovenfest in Bonn (Beethoven Marathon) and four times the Festival Alpen-Klassik in Bad Reichenhall . From her commitment to the Beethovenfest in Bonn, to whose rescue she helped with the Beethoven Marathon , which she directed in 1995, 1996 and 1998, the idea of ​​a Beethoven Festival in Krakow arose , which she organized for the first time together with Krzysztof Penderecki in 1997.
