Dietfried Gerhardus

Dietfried Gerhardus (born October 20, 1938 in Greven ) is Senior Academic Councilor i. R. in philosophy at the University of Saarbrücken and honorary professor at the Saar College of Fine Arts. His areas of expertise are the semiotics of art and poietic action theory .

For Gerhardus there is also a semiotic and linguistic-philosophical aspect in the fine arts.

Gerhardus is a representative of the methodical constructivism of the Erlangen school. He emphasizes the dialogic and semiotic branch of this direction and, together with Kuno Lorenz, headed the DFG research project Scientific Language versus Colloquial Language.
