The village Dietmannsdorf im Sulmtal or the cadastral municipality Dietmannsdorf is part of the municipality Sankt Martin im Sulmtal in the district of Deutschlandsberg , Styria .

Dietmannsdorf is traversed by the Sulm and the Leibenbach and is surrounded by agricultural land. With 219 inhabitants (January 1, 2020) , around seven percent of the population of Sankt Martin live in Dietmannsdorf.

Until December 31, 1968 Dietmannsdorf in Sulmtal was an independent municipality. It then became part of the Sulmeck-Greith community , which in turn became part of the Sankt Martin im Sulmtal community from January 1, 2015 as part of the Styrian community structural reform .

The name of the community Dietmannsdorf was changed to Dietmannsdorf im Sulmtal on June 1, 1951 .

In 1868 the community (then “Dittmannsdorf”) had 465 inhabitants and an area of ​​517  yoke , i.e. 297.5 hectares.

Infrastructure

Dietmannsdorf is accessible through a Wieserbahn stop on the GKB line Graz  - Lieboch  - Wies - Eibiswald (Wieserbahn, rapid transit line  S-Bahn Styria), a bus line (network line 769) and Sulmtal Straße B 74.

In Dietmannsdorf there is an inn, a fire station, two bridges, two chapels and several small businesses. In the northern part of Dietmannsdorf there is a large forest with some hunting grounds.

In the southern part of Dietmannsdorf, on the "Schlossriegl", is the old, still inhabited Welsberg Castle. It is a listed building .
