Dietmar Klumpp

Dietmar Klumpp (* 1978 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German television journalist, author and editor.

Career

Klumpp studied political science, ethnology and history in Heidelberg and deepened his political knowledge with a dissertation on the transformation of legal systems (published in 2014). He gained journalistic experience at ARD in Rio de Janeiro, where he carried out field research in the favelas as part of his doctorate, and as an editor at ProSiebenSat.1 in Munich, with stations in Washington and Berlin. He worked as a freelancer for Deutsche Welle and SWR. Dietmar Klumpp specializes in foreign issues and has made reports on topics from China, Brazil, the Vatican and the Congo, among other things. His report from the Bundestag was nominated for the German Television Award in 2013. In 2016 he received the Bavarian TV Prize for Struggle for Peace in the Congo - The world's largest UN mission ( Adventure Life ).
