Dietmar Vahs

Dietmar Vahs (* 1961 in Munich ) is a German economist .

Life

Dietmar Vahs studied economics and business administration at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the University of Virginia . After receiving his doctorate as a scholarship holder of the Baden-Württemberg State Graduate Funding in 1989, he worked at Daimler-Benz . Vahs has been a professor at the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences since 1993 , where he heads the Institute for Change Management and Innovation (CMI) he founded in 1998 , which, in cooperation with companies and associations, conducts empirical studies in the field of success factor research for innovation and transformation processes as well as performs in the field of quality awareness. He is also the academic director of the master’s program in Innovation Management and Managing Partner of Quality Awareness Experts, a group of experts that advises companies on the further development of quality awareness among their employees.

The teaching and research areas of Vahs are change and innovation management, organization and personnel management , quality and process management .
