Dietram A. Scheufele

Dietram A. Scheufele is a German - American communication scientist specializing in science communication .

He completed a bachelor's degree in journalism with the minor subjects political science and business administration at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . This was followed by a master’s degree in journalism & mass communication and a doctorate on mass communications at the University of Wisconsin.

Scheufele is Professor of Science Communication at the University of Wisconsin ( John E. Ross Professor in Science Communication ) and at the Morgridge Institute for Research ( Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor ). Scheufele is also a project manager at the Center for Nanotechnology and Society at Arizona State University and has been an honorary professor at the Institute for Communication Science at the Technical University of Dresden since 2013 .
