Dietrich Krusche (* 25. January 1935 in Rypin , Poland ) is a German writer and Emeritus Professor of Intercultural hermeneutics .

Life

Krusche studied German, Latin and Greek and worked as a teacher at the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich. He received his doctorate with a thesis on Kafka (Kafka and Kafka interpretation. The problematic interaction 1974).

From 1961 to 1963 he worked as a German lecturer at the University of Peradeniya / Sri Lanka, from 1966 to 1969 at the University of Okayama / Japan.

From 1981, initially as an academic adviser, from 1982 to 1997 as a professor of literary studies, he developed the field of intercultural hermeneutics at the Institute for German as a Foreign Language at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . For many years, Krusche was co-editor of the yearbook German as a Foreign Language / Intercultural German Studies.

He has presented numerous literary publications and has been a member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts since 1995 . He has lived in the south of France since 1997.

Act

In connection with reception and aesthetic theories of Hans Robert Jauß and Wolfgang Iser , Krusche developed his approach to intercultural hermeneutics. This approach became formative for the specialist discussion on the teaching of literature in the field of German as a foreign language .

Krusche translated a number of Japanese haiku into German and published them as collections of poetry. In his scientific work on haiku, he is concerned with exploring the possibilities of reception and adaptation of this foreign literary genre.

In addition, Krusche has published numerous literary texts - poems, plays, stories, novels. In it he works on the most diverse facets of encounters with geographical and temporal strangers.
