Dietrich Reinicke

Dietrich Reinicke (born February 10, 1912 ; † August 17, 2004 in Dortmund ) was a German lawyer and ministerial official . From 1957 to 1963 he was a federal judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

Reinicke studied since 1930 in various cities and received his doctorate in 1934 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University for Dr. iur. From 1937 he was employed at the regional court in Dortmund and at the higher regional court in Hamm .

After the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany , Reinicke worked in the Federal Ministry of Justice . There he dealt with the Equal Rights Act (1958), which was supposed to enforce the constitutionally enshrined equality of men and women in practice.

From 1957 to 1963 Reinicke was a federal judge at the Federal Court of Justice . His primary field of activity during this time was securities law and commercial law .

As a full professor for civil law, civil commercial law and civil procedural law , Reinicke taught from 1963 to 1980 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University. He was nicknamed "Reinicke Fuchs" among the students. He died at the age of 92 in an old people's home in Dortmund.
