Dietrich Thiede

Dietrich Thiede (born November 13, 1937 in Schneidemühl ) is a German politician and former member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from secondary school in 1956 and then attending business school, he began training as a freight forwarder. After successfully completing his degree in 1959, he worked as an employee in the teaching company. From 1965 to 1967 he trained as a career counselor at the Detmold employment office and the Herford employment office. From 1967 to 1972 he was a career advisor at the Herford employment office. After further training, Thiede worked as a career advisor for the disabled from 1972 to 1992 and then from 1992 to 1995 as the first career advisor for the disabled. Thiede has been a member of the CDU since 1972.

From June 1, 1995 to June 2, 2005, Thiede was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list.

He had been a member of the Herford District Council since 1975. From 1989 to 2009 he was Deputy District Administrator. In addition, he was a member of the Münster Landscape Assembly from 1989 to 1995.
