Dietrich Westhoff

Dietrich Westhoff (* 1509 in Dortmund ; † 1551 ) was a Dortmund chronicler .

Westhoff was initially a blacksmith, but continued his education. In 1543 he took over the office of court clerk. From 1548 he wrote a Dortmund city chronicle for the period from 750 to 1550. Later Dortmund chroniclers such as Detmar Mülher used this chronicle . He died of the plague in 1551 .
