Dietrich von Ascheberg

Dietrich von Ascheberg (* unknown; † April 2, 1632 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Hildesheim and Münster .

Life

Dietrich von Ascheberg came from the Westphalian noble family von Ascheberg and was the son of Johann von Ascheberg zu Ichterloh and his wife Anna von Nagel zu Bustedt. His brother Heidenreich was Drost zu Werne and Herr zu Ichterloh. With the receipt of the tonsure on December 4th, 1608 Dietrich was prepared for a spiritual life. He received the minor orders on December 18, 1609 and became a subdeacon the next day . He was canon of Hildesheim and took in 1611 a Münstersche Dompräbende possession. He had studied in Paris and on December 9th, 1614 presented his degree certificate from the University of Paris. Dietrich left no will, so that Archbishop Ferdinand determined the estate for the seminary.
