Dietrich von Wittingen

Dietrich von Wittingen († 1360 ) was canon of Dorpat from 1342 to 1348 and dean and canon of Lübeck from 1348 .

Life

Dietrich von Wittingen comes from a Lüneburg patrician family.

From August 15, 1342 to April 4, 1348 Dietrich von Wittingen was Canon of Dorpat. On January 11, 1348, he was provided with a canonical and a prebend at Schwerin, for which he made annata payments on February 6, 1352. The prebend was Wilke von Kraack's .

After the death of Wilke von Kraack, Dietrich von Wittingen was given the Dean's office in Lübeck on January 26, 1348. On April 4, 1348 he also obtained the former canon position of Johannes Mul in the Lübeck cathedral chapter. He acquired a canon curia in Lübeck on January 29, 1350. As Lübeck dean and canon, he can still be proven on January 25, 1360.

Dietrich von Wittingen was named on November 20, 1360 as deceased.
