Dig is an American rock band from Los Angeles .
history
The band was formed in 1991 by singer and guitarist Scott Hackwith (producer for the Ramones ), guitarists Dix Denney (previously with Weirdos and Thelonious Monster ) and Jon Morris, bassist Phil Friedmann and drummer Matt Tecu.
In 1992 the EP Runt was released. At the end of the year the band signed with Radioactive / MCA, where they released their debut album Dig in 1993 . The single Believe stayed on MTV ’s Buzz Bin for almost three months , followed by the second album Defenders of the Universe in mid-1996. The third album Life Like was released in early 1999 .
