Digital badge

Digital badges are certificates created electronically , which prove certain skills and knowledge of their wearers and which are often based on traditional badges and emblems in their design . They are often used in digital learning environments in schools (learning badges). They should make performance and competencies recognizable as well as promote motivation. An example of digital badges are the Open Badges developed by the Mozilla Foundation .
