Eric Dikeb

Eric Dikeb (born November 16, 1970 in The Hague ; actually Eric Hoogerheide ) is a Dutch entertainer and DJ.

His musical career began at an early age. In a local band, Dikeb played the trumpet and drums. After reinforcing various bands, he finally appeared as a presenter on a karaoke show . With this show he is still out and about in the ski areas of the Alps as an après-ski entertainer.

He became much better known in 2000 through his participation in the breakfast program Stenders Vroeg Op on the Dutch radio station Yorin FM . A year later he gave all kinds of possible and impossible advice on how to get rid of extra pounds on the station's daily program on the show Big Diet .

In 2002 Dikeb wrote the famous carnival hit De Pizzahut , the following year he recorded the single Burger Dance with DJ Ötzi , with which he reached the top of the German charts in summer 2003 . Finally, in 2004 he wrote the pop ballad Celeste for the duo Bas en Joël , which qualified for the finals of the 2004 National Song Festival .

Dikeb was also briefly politically active. Under his real name Eric Hoogerheide, he was on the list of the Partij van de Toekomst (Party of the Future), a fun party led by the Dutch television character Johan Vlemmix , in the 2003 parliamentary elections .
