Ivan Dinew

Ivan Dinew (born November 8, 1978 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian figure skater who started in a single run .

Dinew was the first Bulgarian figure skater to stand a four-way toe loop in a competition ( World Championship 1999 ). He is also the first figure skater in his country to win a medal in a Grand Prix competition ( Trophée Lalique 1999).

Dinew has one of the longest careers in figure skating. In the period from 1992 to 2006, the eleven-time Bulgarian champion took part in 13 world championships and 14 European championships . His best results were twelfth place at the 2001 World Cup and fifth place at the 2000 European Championship . Dinew also represented Bulgaria at three Olympic Games . In 1998 in Nagano he finished eleventh, in 2002 in Salt Lake City 13th and 2006 in Turin he finished 17th.

Dinew is married to Angela Nikodinov and has a son who was born in 2002. He works as a trainer with his wife.
